a u d r e y With a face synonymous with late 90s Minimillism, Audrey Marnay was one of Fashions favourite faces. As part of the quirky models infiltrating fashion during the mid to late 90s, Audrey’s rise was swift! Of course a chance encounter with Meisel helped excel her career as did scoring the campaign for Miu Miu’s Fall 97 collection ( one of my favourites! Shot by Glen Luchford, her lithe French Lolita vibe, smattering of freckles all combined with her off beat beauty sucked me in ). Being the same age, I feel as I’ve grown up with this beauty and seen her transformation from awkward, quirky teen, to a sophisticated Parisian, quirkiness still intact. The Kate Moss of her generation, Audrey has had an incredible career ( multiple international Covers for Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, ID ), campaigns ( Versace, Lanvin, Calvin Klein and many more ) going from the runway to the silver screen, she can also add successful actress to her call card. There are so many great images of this French beauty, but those captured by Paolo Roversi would have to be some of my favourites ( he manages to capture a certain intimacy and vulnerability from within her, fragility ) and anything captured by Meisel, especially their editorials for Vogue Italia. Still doing choice runway, editorial and campaign work, Audrey still has the same infectious appeal she had two decades ago when she first entered the wonderful world of Fashion.
